Greene County Schools, Snow Hill, NC
I completed my residency at West Greene, an elementary school that houses only second and third graders. We have experienced the happiest and the saddest moments this school year. Through it all, "We're in this Together!" Below, I documented my "First Impressions" as I entered West Greene as a principal resident instead of walking through the doors as a parent or student--roles I have served here before.

The Greene County School District facilitated a fall and spring LitTech conference for district employees (and other registered attendees). To expand our education toolbox, we had the opportunity to choose PD sessions to take part in. The video below was made during the fall session where I learned how to AppSmash. It was fun, useful and informative, all key components in engaging learners of all ages.

As a member of the NC Leadership Academy at NC State University, I had the opportunity to take part in school visits in Johnston County. These experiences gave us the opportunity to ask questions and gain insight into how to effectively run two different programs.
Our program experience is like no other. It exposes us to authentic scenarios, non-traditional thinking, how to craft a master schedule, facilitating PLTs, and how to use data analysis to impact academic achievement amongst many other educational topics. The video to the right utilizes "paper slides" to document some of our program experiences.
